Job : Floating Support Workers HHA 08-2
Duties : Horton Housing Association

Following the development of new services and promotion of existing staff Horton now has a number of opportunities to appoint Support Workers to work in locations in West Yorkshire.
(Based in either Bradford, Kirklees or Calderdale)

SUPPORT WORKERS
Ref: HHA 08-2
Starting salary £17,154
(pay award pending)
NJC SCP 19-23
35 hours per week

The Association provides floating support services to a range of people with different support needs, including those who

• Require support to manage their accommodation
• Are under threat of homelessness and require support in this area.
• Have specific needs including Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug related issues.
• Are deemed to be in priority need for Housing

The services provide support to people in their own home throughout each local authority area. The hours worked will generally be between 9am and 5pm, Monday - Friday. However, some flexibility will be expected to meet the needs of clients.

We are particularly seeking applications from people who have experience in any of the following areas

• A background in asylum and refugee work
• Females with language skills including Urdu
• An interest in working with mental health
• Addressing substance (drug or alcohol) issues

It is a requirement of this post that you have your own motor transport.
